Jonathan R. Green was born and grew up in England. After completing a Bachelor of Sciences in Geography and Geology, he began to travel, living in France and then Spain.
In 1988, he arrived to the Galapagos Islands and trained as a naturalist with the Galapagos National Park and Charles Darwin Research Station. A keen diver his photography was soon extended to the underwater world.
His work has been published in Time magazine, BBC Wildlife Magazine, The Royal Geographical Magazine, amongst others, and on exhibit at the Natural History Museum of London, Olympia Exhibition Centre of London, and venues around the world.
He continues to lead adventure travel trips and photo expeditions to the Amazon, Antarctica, Central America, Patagonia, Peru and the Galapagos. He currently lives with his wife and children in the Andes of Ecuador.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society of London.
